Stop stitching together business software.

Foundry is the open-source workspace for client work - clients, projects, quotes, invoices, payments and documents in one place, running on your own infrastructure.

The problem

Your business deserves better than duct tape.

Most studios rent seven disconnected subscriptions and glue them together by hand. Foundry replaces the sprawl with one workspace you own - one identity, one workflow, one bill of zero.

Before Disconnected
Chat app Cloud drive Notes tool Invoice SaaS Scheduling Email Spreadsheets

Seven logins. Copy-paste between apps. Your data scattered across other people's clouds.

Foundry One workspace
Projects Clients Quotes Invoices Payments Documents

One identity. One workflow. Everything connected by design - on your own server.

How Foundry works

The full lifecycle, connected.

Not a pile of features - a single flow from the first quote to the final payment, with nothing retyped along the way.

1 Quote sent
2 Quote accepted
3 Project created
4 Work delivered
5 Invoice sent
6 Payment recorded
7 Receipt issued
8 Books up to date
Features

Everything after the handshake.

Opinionated, fast and connected. Each part of Foundry makes the others more useful - because they share one database, not seven APIs.

Projects

The center of your business.

Everything hangs off the project - scope, timeline, documents, invoices and the client it belongs to.

  • Status, dates and progress at a glance
  • Documents and invoices attached
  • Always connected to its client
Clients

Every client, one timeline.

Quotes, projects, invoices, payments and documents - the whole relationship in one record instead of five apps.

  • Unified client history
  • Every quote and invoice in context
  • Documents and contracts attached
Quotes

Quotes that become projects.

Send professional, numbered quotes with real line items. When the client says yes, the project starts - nothing retyped.

  • Line items with automatic totals
  • Auto-numbered (Q-1007)
  • Accepted quote → live project
Invoices

Send it once. Foundry does the rest.

One click generates the PDF, emails it to your client and starts tracking the status - no export, no attach, no forward.

  • PDF generated and emailed on send
  • Auto-numbered (INV-1042)
  • Status tracked from draft to paid
Payments & expenses

Know where the money is.

Record payments against invoices and expenses against projects - outstanding balances and real margins, always current.

  • Payments matched to invoices
  • Expenses tracked per project
  • Outstanding at a glance
Documents

One searchable home for every file.

Contracts, briefs and deliverables attached to the client and project they belong to - stored on disk you control.

  • Attached to clients and projects
  • Local disk or any S3-compatible storage
  • Uploads stay on your infrastructure
Dashboard

Real numbers, no spreadsheet gymnastics.

Revenue, outstanding invoices and activity on a live dashboard - updated in real time as events happen.

  • Live revenue and outstanding totals
  • Realtime notifications built in
  • No manual exports
Event-driven core

Your business should work while you do.

Every action in Foundry emits an event, and the right things happen next - automatically. The same event bus powers Enterprise audit logs and webhooks, so extending the workflow never means rewiring it.

Open core

Open core, done honestly.

The Community Edition is never crippled. You pay for administration, compliance and scale - never to unlock the product you already run.

Community Edition

Everything you need to run your studio. Open source, self-hosted, complete - not a demo.

  • Full workflow: clients → quotes → projects → invoices → payments
  • No row limits or artificial caps
  • No feature gates on core workflow
  • No telemetry gate - it runs offline
  • Your data exports freely, always

Enterprise Edition

For larger and regulated teams - administration, compliance and scale on top of the same core.

  • SSO - SAML & OIDC - and SCIM provisioning
  • Roles and granular permissions (RBAC)
  • Immutable audit log with export
  • Outbound webhooks & API keys
  • Priority support & SLA

The upgrade path

Moving from Community to Enterprise is activation, not migration. Your data never reshapes.

  • Same database schema, same migrations
  • Swap the image tag, add a license key
  • Additive changes only - rows untouched
  • License expired? Community keeps working
  • You are never locked out of your data
Community runs your studio. Enterprise runs many studios - with admins, auditors and integrations.
Pricing

Priced for how you actually grow.

The core is free because it's yours. You pay when you need administration, compliance and someone on the hook - not because your invoice count went up.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about running, licensing and extending Foundry.

Can I self-host Foundry?

Yes - that is the point. The Community Edition deploys with Docker Compose on any VPS, on-prem server or air-gapped network. It needs PostgreSQL, Redis and somewhere to store files: local disk or any S3-compatible object storage.

Is the Community Edition really free?

Free and complete. Everything a studio needs to run its business - clients, quotes, projects, invoices, payments, expenses, documents and reporting - ships in Community with no row limits, no feature gates and no telemetry requirement.

What does Enterprise add?

Administration, compliance and scale: SSO (SAML/OIDC), SCIM provisioning, roles and granular permissions, an immutable audit log, outbound webhooks and API keys, plus priority support with an SLA. Core workflow is never part of the paywall.

How does the Enterprise license work?

A signed, offline-verifiable license key - no phone-home required, so air-gapped deployments work. Add the key to your environment and the Enterprise features activate on the same deployment.

What happens if my Enterprise license expires?

Enterprise features go dormant; everything in Community keeps working and your data stays exactly where it is. You are never locked out of your own database.

How do I upgrade from Community to Enterprise?

Activation, not migration. Swap the image tag, add the license key and restart - the schema is shared and Enterprise features only apply additive migrations. No data is reshaped, exported or re-imported.

What is the tech stack?

A NestJS API and an Angular client, backed by PostgreSQL and Redis, shipped as Docker images. Boring, proven infrastructure your team can operate and inspect.

Can I use my own object storage?

Yes. Documents and uploads go to local disk or any S3-compatible object storage you control - your files never have to leave your infrastructure.

Is my data locked in?

No. It lives in your PostgreSQL database and your object storage, and it exports freely. No dark patterns, no "call us to get your data out."

Stop renting your business software.
Own it.

One open-source workspace for everything after the handshake - on your own infrastructure. Build. Deliver. Get paid.
